When equivocating between similar-appearing decisions, we lead with our heart. We bake our moral intuitions into every decision, small and large. We understand our work is futile without deep empathy. Having an ‘impact’ does not, definitionally, imply goodness; goodness springs from good intention. We forge our intentions in the loving service and care of people we will never meet.

Death to incrementalism. Our threshold for radical change is absurdly low. We learn from our wins and our mistakes aggressively fast. We are comfortable breaking with traditions; blind to the social pressure to acquiesce. We are biased towards action. Our decisions are full-throated, and our convictions clear.
We are consumed by the desire to build beautiful products and experiences. We believe beauty and joy can colour the ordinarily mundane. We are tired of dull blues and uninspired Sans Serifs. Design is a mechanism by which we partially satisfy our mission to care.
We operate under the premise that the starting coordinates of a person’s life ought not to determine their opportunities. We never lose sight of our own blindspots and privileges.
The conditions in which we work reflects deeply the kind of environment we want Hatchery to be for users and employees alike. We are flexible, remote-friendly, and prioritise our team’s mental health & overall wellbeing. The nature of the start-up game is demanding, but can adapt to your schedule. We operate on a trust-only policy: company OKRs > individual KPIs. We all take the bins out - metaphorically speaking, but literally soon, we hope!

We are looking for a creative at heart, great enough on the tools (we use Figma) to flex into UI/UX, and help us chase ‘aha’ moments.
